I have had the vette on the road since april of 2005. I used rajay 301e flow turbos with .8 exh housings, and they are supposed to support 4-450 hp each. The car is real streetable and I got 14 mpg before I turbo'd it and can still get the same with the turbos if I can behave. The boost comes in around 2500 rpms and I can adjust the boost from 11 to 15 lbs boost. You can get on it a little,as in cruising around town and it acts like a mildly built big block chevy (8.5 comp) but if you go full throttle and count to two (this is from about an idle rpm) the boost guage instantly jumps to whatever you have it set at and it flat goes like a bat out of hell. With a 4 speed trans and 3.08 gears you can be putting along about 1500 rpms in third gear and floor it and when it hits around 2500 (around 65 to 70 mph @ 15 lbs boost) it will burn the tires off and the motor starts bouncing off the rev limiter. I have an msd 6al ignition box and have a 5600 rpm module in it right now. Its not real pretty to look at yet as I am still experimenting with everything and when I get the time to do a total resto on it I will be able to make it alot nicer under the hood such as some nice stainless headers, ect. This weekend I will have to round up some pics of our cars. My son and I are building a 74 javelin for him and its driveable but we still have some finishing up to do. It has a 401 with a 700 trans behind it with a narrowed 8 3/4 dodge rearend with 3.23 gears. Its going to be a sweet car, has a vintage air heat/ a/c system, power windows, electric door locks. We moulded a third brake light into the spoiler which turned out really nice. Hopefully it will get some decent mileage on the road too with the overdrive trans, which incidentally is out of an 89 vette.
