After taking the clock apart I'm finding the movement inside has a clear plasic housing? Is this quartz already?

68 - I had the clock in the javelin replaced years ago, and it's been working fine ever since.  Quartz movement,
smooth second hand movement.
 
I'll be darned if I remember who did it though, I believe it was one of the vendors in Musclecar Review (the original
mag ).  It's been over 15 years since I had it done, so who knows if they are still around.  I looked up clock repair

You might see if the points in the clock need cleaning that is usually the reason they don't work. I usually hook up my battery charger (small one) and then check if the points trigger the rewind if not clean them off a little and see if that doesn't do the job. Worth a try. GL
