Hello all,

I am looking to speak to anyone who has a '67 ambassador convertible or a 67-68 rebel convertible. I am working on a registry that curently has the information for 23 diff cars listed (67 ambo) with leads on about 20 more. The reb registry is new and as far as i know nobody else is working on one. The reb section is a new task so i don't have much info on this yet.

I am asking that anyone who owns one of these, knows someone who does or knows of one sitting in a junkyard to contact me via pm.

I know the person who bought Heath Brantingham's 4 spd ambo conv is on here but I do not know who it is.

Also, the registry info will be made avail to anyone who owns one of these cars.

Been in the wx for years and ice storm in 2000 a limb killed the top bows. It is a 343 auto, white with blue interior, I'll get VIN for you when the wx clears up a bit.

Are you still working on this??
I have a '67 Rebel SST convertible. 343 4V column shifted auto tranny. It came in that light gold paint with a white top.
I can get the VIN for you, but I don't know if I can open the door far enough where it's sitting right now to read the door tag. But I will try if you want.

Sorry guys......been really busy lately. I am still working on the registry and have added a list of all '67 big cars as well. (reb, ambo and marlin).

77.....can you put me in contact with your friend or possibly get the vin, valve cover tag and door tag info?

Mike - thanks for getting this info.....strange how the valve cover tag is stamped over, but this won't be the first time we've heard of a less than perfect production process. If the tag is correct with the overstamp then it is a 343-2barrel (vin denotes this as well). I see that the vin is missing a digit (should be 6 numbers after the R).....I don't suppose you wrote it down somewhere? Looks like that car was built mid-dec 1966 based on the seq number. If the valve cover tag is correct then the engine plant would be running less than a week ahead of the main assembly plant at that time.

All that being said, if anyone has a '67 big car I would love to hear from you as well. The database is growing slowly.

I missed a didget on the VIN A7KA77R133404 and it is a 2 barrell car, still got the engine in it, last tagged in 1973 must have been something mechanical wrong with it the body was not wrecked at all, time has taken its toll on the old girl. The overstamp looks factory and who else would have wanted to?? Most people in 1973 didn't know what tags were for. Glad to help MIke

Too bad it wasn't closer.....I need a few parts and so far no luck finding them.

I need the drivers door latch mechanism (i think it's gonig to be the full piece from the part that hits the striker to the part that attaches to the inside handle - 3 screws on the back side of the door jamb and 3 screws/nuts on the inside of the door underneath the door panel). My door works but the handle stays up and will not naturally fall back into the horizontal position like it is supp to - always needs help from me. That stuff might still be in half dec shape..if the door is intact you can prob check to see if it works first. i also need rear seatbelts, but those are prob trashed or dry rotted by now.
