Help needed with small body v8 car
02/23/10 at 22:54:25

Hey ..77. has run into a small problem . I am in dire needs of a picture and some measurements , of the clearance tween the oil pan and the back of the engine crossmember of a v8 Gremlin Hornet . If any one has one thats up in the air and easy to get under for a pic . That would be great .  I lost my measurements I took down for how close the factory pan is to the back of the x member and at present time both my cars are motor less and I wanna make sure of this measurement afore I weld up the oil pan . Thanks in advance ..77.

I am far from being able to do it all, or have all the answers, just try and do what I can to be helpful.                          Actually I have been working on an article for the Newsletters for NAMDRA and AMO about that.  I got a bunch of requests to do it last summer at the 2 shows.  I do recall  years back when you joined NAMDRA and sent in the pictures of the 2 Spirits, so if you are still a member. I t will be some interesting reading  at least I hope Grin.    If not, it will be a story for GAD if anyone else was interested. SH

AI, you must have me mistaken for someone else as i'm not a member of NAMDRA or any clubs for that matter  embarrassed
not that i don't want to be  Grin i just never looked into it, always been caught up with working the business trying to keep the truck rollin and also the kids and wife life  Wink

getting back into the swing of things lately, will be even better/easier if'n i sell this place and get something with a little less mortgage then i can up the AMC stable with a "Machine'' and a AMX.

let us know when your done with your article so we can all enjoy it!

I'm sorry I stand corrected, it was quite a few years back.  I'll have to send you a copy of it, when it gets printed in the newsletter. Unless we get to talking about it at GAD. SH
