I know what its like to smash a knuckle.  I cannot imagine fallin into an empty engine bay and using my head as a hammer.  Glad your OK!  Now you can say alot of blood, sweat and some colorful words went into that engine bay.

Just back from the Docs. They thanked me for making their day exciting. Doc said I'll survive this time, and the wound looks like a small cresent moon, so I looked at the motor mount bolt and yep, hair there. That sucker coulda punched a hole if it didn't hit just to the side of my noggin. Feeling a bit sluggish, from blood letting the doc said. My lower back hit the swaybar and its feeling sore today. Gonna go out and work at removing the brake prop. valve, well at least give the mountig studs another shot of blaster...

The wife always tell me not to work on the car when she is not here, and I have had a few accidents over the years. Almost cutting off a finger comes to mind. Hope you are feeling better.

Wow Crazy.  Darn Javelins anyway Grin  What is really amazing is that you don't even have the greasy crossmember or swaybar. So they aren't even slippery.      Sure reminds a guy how human we are sometimes.   What is funny is how many times a guy had done and taken stupid moves that you could have really gotten hurt. No Jackstands anyone?  Get out to grab the other header and the car slams on the ground or No saftey glasses, then you put them on and wack a bit piece of hot grinding metal hits just where you look out.  or motor haning in the air while you crawl around under it, then the cable on the wrecker snaps later in the day Shocked          All turns out fine, and then you just fall on a simple project like this. Look back at all the sharp things that could have been.          Hope you are feeling much better.  SH

Looking good! Nice to hear things are healing up and moving right along.  Good to see you have it in the bay, now you won't be able to stand in there. SH

Pain, yes. Blood, certainly. But don't worry, you are an AMC'er and it's tough to kill a weed. Wink

Wow, that looks like you took a pretty good hit to the head!  Good to hear you checked out fine.  Taking a shot to the head like that, you never know how serious thing might be...

I keep some band-aids along with Neo Sporin in the tool box along with some tape bandage.  I've cut myself working on the cars in the past, and just used some paper towels and duc tape to help stop the bleeding Smiley

Oh, and don't even remind me how hard that hood latch is and how sharp the corners of the hoods are Wink
