Horror Movie Featuring AMX
05/14/10 at 00:30:12

I first mentioned this movie several months ago.  Here's an update.  The movie is now called "Wolf Moon" (formerly "Dark Moon Rising") and is being released on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital download June 22nd.  It's still the same film and it's still the only movie that I know of where an AMC is one of the stars.  If you're a horror film fan and an AMC/AMX fan, buy the movie when it comes out.

Although I haven't seen him in a while, the director Dana Mennie, is a friend of mine and owns four other AMX's besides the car in the movie.

I am not a horror fan, but I'll have to get a copy, since an AMC is a star car Smiley SH

I've seen the movie and to me it's more a car guy love story then a Horror film. There is that element to it , but as it was done on the cheap, only about $ 3 million dollars it does not really have the full special effects that would have made it a true bloody horror film, so a lot of the horror scenes just don't come off to me as that big a horror type movie. That is probably the biggest flaw in the movie, most of the horror scenes just don't get that "A" film level of special effects to look real. But it's also a first effect from Dana and I think that within the limits of what he had to work with he did a pretty good job of it. LRDaum
