just in NZ? (Read 1909 times)

mottly AMCer American Motors Corporation Posts: 37 Gender: Auckland, New Zealand	just in NZ? 06/19/10 at 03:01:15 When we bought our 63 Classic home and it still had the 'Rambler' badge (BIG badge) on the boot, parked it with the boot facing towards the road....and I don't now how many people asked me if it was a cross between a zepher and a holden........I honestly didn't realise people were that thick!

Try sitting at a cruise in with tags that read - 64RMBLR - and being asked 1) what kind of car IS that? Or 2) What year is that? Roll Eyes

Or over hearing it being called "some kind of weird Dodge". My 64 Rambler American Wagon. Don't drive the convertible, (65 Rambler American 440), you get " That thing really got a 440 in it" I usually tell them it at least a 440cc,(232ci). Ron White is RIGHT!!!!

Dodge 440s were pretty good for that too .. 'cept I think most were built before the 440 was available (413/426 Wedge biggest engine at that time?)

In Australia (and NZ?) we had a Ford Cortina 440. Imagine that with a 440 in it!

I just let them freak out a little and walk away.
