I like BFG AT or Cooper STT. Both are good tires, the cooper being slightly better off road in my opinion, BFG longer lasting (a non issue for a seasonal vehicle. My Cherokee sees 'blizzard duty' but otherwise it's the econobeater that gets to rust away with road salt)
I had to trim the bottom of my fender flares on my 96 XJ so the tires don't rub.
