Did you coat your pipes with something? Got my tailpipes made yesterday. I fit the sections in and tacked them in place. Finished welding the tailpipe sections and mounting tabs together. Also have them installed back on the car. Just have to weld the muffler to the tailpipes and it'll be done. -Steve-

Rebel Machine, I have just painted the pipes with some high heat exhaust paint.

Those tail pipes look good rambling_rebel, gives me a good idea what mine should look like. You might want to consider using a couple of flanges between the mufflers and the tail pipes, that way you can drop the centre section of the exhaust if you need to take the tranny out.

I bought the 'X' pipe from Jegs and the tailpipes from Hogan Performance (they're '70 Chevelle pipes). They didn't work as I'd hoped so I sectioned in the bends where needed then bought two 28" x 3" right angle sections for the tube going out below the bumper.

My sign was pole mounted so the side on the concrete has the mounts. One of these days I'd like to make a frame to hold it horizontal.

Tail pipes are still to come Brootal, just wanted to get the car on the road first.

Anyway, decided to take a break from looking for oil leaks and knocked this up today: One to go.
