Grant Rambler REBEL SST

Noticed alot of talk going on about the car lately on the forums. I knew I had an article about it stored away. It's from a old Hot Rod Magazine yearbook Smiley. The article is how to turn a Rambler on by Bill Hayes "Banzai"  who was the driver behind the car. I would try to download the 6 page article with pictures if it has not been done before on this forum. Maybe someone could let me know. It goes into the whole build of the car. Great pictures of the chassis, how the blower was made etc. Talks of his accident at Bonneville drag strip where the pan blew up sidelining him till the end of the year. Hayden Profitt took over the driving . I could try to get it scanned tomorrow if you do not have this article. Garry

Took the article in to get it downloaded. Had a little trouble but I've been told a few a few days Smiley. Found another article about  CoolCraig Breedlove's American Spirit with a combination of a few engines including  Shocked390 1000hp fuel injected and supercharged engine , a 290 blown and injected and a 6 cylinder turbo charged engine. Another intresting read that I'll download in the future. Also there are some pictures of race cars. One is of Agitator (willy's coupe) That name rings a bell for some reason. Garry

chickenman, Thanks for the up-load. Great reading material. The original chassis looks scary by todays standards.

I owned those heads at one time. They were no good for anything but a blown car though. The dividers between the intake ports were ground way back and the exhaust valves were large in relation to the intake. I don't remember what I did with them? I do remember the engine was yellow.
