junk gas Javy vs race fuel camarNOT

Just swapped the road demon jr. out for a proform 750 DP on the 360 in my '71 Jav. Stopped at the Hess for 8 gal. of fresh 89 oct. and this chevy guy has his camaro there while he gets coffee. He says he has to run race gas in his 383  or it detonates bad. Tell him I built this AMC to run on junk gas 'cause A, I can't see wasting race gas on the street, and B who knows what future fuels we will be forced to use. We leave the Hess together and he swings out beside me and mats it, I do the same. Think he needs to do some tuning 'cause he was breathing the junk gas fumes!

He was probably "taking it easy" because his RACE fuel costs so much...NOT! Grin Grin Grin

Why build a motor for the street that you can't just run any fuel in? Makes no sense to me.

9's and drive it to work on Fridays.
Sold the altered Dragster to buy the parts and pieces of a tall deck 632 trying to hit the 8sec mark on pump gas without the nitrous.

Yes Brian, It'll be at Mason Dixon, already have the day off. Hoping to get to a couple TnTs at Maple Grove to see what the carb swap has given it. See You there!
