HEADER OUTLETS-Jeep CJ

I aquired some Hedman in frame hedders, that have a BALL hookup exhaust outlet.
 Flange outlet is typical of a fender exit type.... anyone had a muffler shop hook one of these ball\sockets hedders up?

I have not used it but the ball/socket as far as the shop is should be the same hook up as the flange. The flange or B/S just makes it so the shop has a cuppler pipe (2 to 2.5) they can hook the rest of the system to.
I hear the B/S do not leak like the flange type but again I have never use the B/S.
