Removed the T-10 from the '68 AMX last night. The tag says "319 5689 AS2-T-10V". I believe the V indicates close ration but I don't know what it originally came out of. A Rebel Machine T-10 is part number 319 7057. What was a 319 5689 originally used in?

Wouldn't ya know it, when typing up the 67-72 Parts Manual info
I ommited one little bit, "*6-1", from the listing for 68/69, it reads:
 
68/69 ... (AS 1-T10V) (AS 2-T10V) V8 (W4ST-* 6-1) ............ 448 5724
 
And found a reference to Part No. 3195689 at the beginning of
the Group 6 Standard Transmission Section in the "NOTES":
 
6-1 ..... The "Close Ratio" Fourspeed Transmission can be identified by
......... Vendor Tag No. AS1-T10V or AS2-T10V and
......... A.M. Tag No 3193964 or 3195689.
 
Reckon that means the Parts Manual says your Trans is a 68/69 Close Ration T-10.
