Kevin, there's no real issue. I have a car I enjoy tinkering with. I drive it around some, I run it at the track some. I have two cousins that race, I do what's needed to stay ahead, then help them catch up, then make changes to mine and repeat the process. That's essentially what I do with my car, and it's fun.
That's great Steve, having fun with your car is what it's all about.

You should be preaching to you're friend about safety not me, judging by the pictures you posted he may benefit from it. I've never put a single dent in a car in my 65 years, and yes I've been on oily tracks before.
OK, I have to cut you off here. The wreck happened with my friend's daughter driving. She has probably 1000 races to her credit so she has a clue. The root cause of the wreck was a ruptured o-ring in the oil line. It was NOT a driver error. I watched in dis-belief as she rolled the car. I can only hope that you fair as well in any similar situation.

I feel I've been getting everything out of a combination, I just keep changing combinations. Kind of like you and everyone else that enguages this hobby as a non professional.
Excellent.

You keep touching on my age, I'll be in Detroit soon, I'll run you a foot race for bragging rights only, then buy you a beer to celebrate the outcome. You game? I feel when a person chooses an opponents age in a discussion as a disqualifying factor he has entered the refuge of the poorely prepared.
Actually, you are the one that keeps bringing up your age. You want the pat on the back for doing your deal at your age, and you deserve it. However, that also opens you up to the rest of the baggage that the "age" factor bring with it. Yes, there is a fair amount of fun ribbing included here too but that goes for the young guys too.
The age deal is just a difference, something to set us apart. No different than you being from the South West. Just another way to differentiate the players.
Sorry, but I really don't need to foot race anyone to prove their or my health capability. If you really want to run for your life, I can set you up with an "interesting" situation while you're in Detroit.
