Correct Rebel Machine Oil Dipstick Color (Read 662 times)

Rebel Machine Forum Junkie American Motors Corporation Posts: 1359 Gender: Quincy, IL	Correct Rebel Machine Oil Dipstick Color 02/12/12 at 15:01:19 I've had my machine since 1986. As far as I know the 390 has always had the same oil dipstick, which is orange. Appears to be the original color, not repainted. Seems other 1970 dipsticks are yellow. Did AMC use orange for quickly identifying the Machine 390 or is mine the wrong color? -Steve-

I've owned 3 machines and 5 machine engines since 1978 and they've all been amc blue dipsticks i'd be interested if anyone else can back this up....that would be just weird....someone on the assembly line was "bored"???? rr

The metal part is painted the color of the block. "P" shaped top
