auto-weld roll cage kit (Read 1890 times)

Just wondering how well they fit. . . . .

DOM stronger , lighter and I think you can use a smaller tube when using dom , but check the rule books . RTFM.
I,ve never bought a cage kit to put in a car . they all have been custom made to fit the car and driver .
I traded a 28 ford sedan body shell and 500 bucks for the set up I had done in The Lil Gremjin . an they tweaked the frt down bars in a bit to make it easier for me to get in an out . I can grab the bar an lift my handicapped fat self in an out , and the bar is placed well within allowed rule book specs . Ha ha tech Fuggers ..77.

The thickness is based on matierial .
Tubbing size is based on what kind of cage / bar you are installing.
Also in some cases which bar it is, as in support and cross bars.
But the main hoop in a roll bar such as a 6 point has to be at least 1-3/4 and a roll cage such as a 10 or more point has to be at least 1-5/8
As Tony said DOM or (drawn over mandrel) is the same weight as mild steel tubing it still has to be at least .118 at the radius so you need to start with thicker tubbing
