Hello!

With my brother, we're going to start working on my AMX's engine and we want to built the engine stand.

Does anyone know the correct dimension?

Thanks
Jim

Do you mean an 'engine crade" or "engine dolly"? Because most any generic "engine stand" will adjust to your motor's mount points.

It's an engine dolly because we need to turn engine.
We don't want to buy one that can match lots of engine.

A store bought engine stand will allow you to turn the engine and roll it around the shop. It is at a comfortable height to work on the engine as well. And many fold up to stand in a corner. I built many AMC and Ford engines on mine.

This is a engine stand used for rebuilding motors. This is a cheapie I bought just so I could clean & detail the motor before I put it back in the car.

Back side adjustable for other motors and can turn it over

The red thing in the back ground is an engine crane or cherry picker used for getting the motor in & out of the engine bay.

For what a Harbor Freight one costs, with $6.99 flat rate shipping, I don't think you could buy the steel.

If you go Harbor Freight get the 2000lbs model it's strong and has a wider stance. stay away from the three wheeled model it will tip over. I just sold a K R Wilson stand last weak to a fellow in California get this 300.00 in just shipping cost. The only problem with the 2000lbs stand it the legs stick out and tend to be tripped over.
