Picture of SS AMX scoop on 68 Javelin Hood (Read 888 times)

Will take a bit of work to get up to spec. Has me concerned about the fibreglass hood i have ordered - different vendor so hoping quality is better than this. I ordered an AMX hood, but the scoop doesnt line up too bad with the Jav hood.

I see your chrome things are different than we have over here. Ours are flat and longer almost square in shape.
When I installed a MOPAR 6pk scoop on my 70 flat hood (indents like yours) I cut out the indents and welded in flat sheet metal strips. This way the hood was flat before I mounted the scoop.

I wonder if the early inserts with fit the 70 hood? Not that I have a flat hood to use but I like the smaller ones over the 70 long flat ones. It was also a test to see if I could post pictures from my site that I could not do before. Dave ----
