Converting a 76 Hornet  into a 73 Hornet
07/14/16 at 15:08:51

Hi Guys,

Just bought a 76 Hornet Fastback to build into a Wally Booth Hornet replica.

There are some differences between a 76 and a 73, so I need to figure out what pieces I need to change.

I know that the grill from a 73-74 is the same and I know the headlight bezels have to be changed.

Are the fenders the same on the 76 as they are on the 73-74?

Then I need to deal with the bumper and possibly the tail lights.

This is my first Hornet, so I am not up on all the interchange and body changes like I am on 66-69 Ramblers

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

No I haven't found any plastic headlights yet, but I have got sidetracked on looking lately.

Got a NOS 73 grill and headlight bezels in Rockford and finally got the car home from North Carolina last week.

Have spent the last several days tearing the car apart. I could use some real good photos of the rear tail light panel and  bumper.

Thanks,

Tom
